The Donald Simpson Community Centre opened over thirty years ago as a facility for the mature aged community members of the Redlands area on the southern end of Brisbane's Moreton Bay.
It was developed to benefit the elderly and those close to retirement age by providing activity and information programs at a nominal fee. Currently, the centre is running programs in health, education as well as social activities. These days, there is no excuse to sit at home twiddling your thumbs wondering how to fill in the hours.
