Doms Coffee Bar and Gelato is a little outlet located on the Lake Burley Griffin Foreshore. The location is the best in town - metres from the water and within the Parliamentary Triangle. It is situated under the International Flag Display, next to the High Court.
Every morning, this little outlet opens its shutters, unpacks its tables and chairs and starts another day of business in this scenic location.

In Winter time, our family has been regular visitors to Dom's as we buy a takeaway coffee and then enjoy a walk along the foreshore. Now that the weather is warming up, the coffee is now getting replaced with ice cream and we stop for awhile to enjoy the lake views.

Dom's also sells teas, milkshakes, smoothies, cakes, slices, panini's, wraps and sandwiches. Although not a large outlet, it has enough options to keep you going for a snack, lunch stop, coffee or ice cream break.

It doesn't matter what time of day it is, there is always a steady stream of customers to Dom's. With only several tables and chairs available, there is also seating on the wooden block chairs adjacent to the outlet (on a personal note - watch for splinters!).

Dom's is an unusual place, frequented by locals and tourists who discover it, but without much advertising. Unfortunately I cannot provide any information about this business for this article as they don't have a website, updated Facebook page or current phone number listed.
I chatted to the lady behind the counter who said that on weekdays they open at 9am each day (10am in Winter) and close at 2pm -3pm (earlier in Winter if the weather is raining). On weekends they may close later around 4pm.
This business accepts cash only, so bring cash with you or they have an ATM onsite to withdraw money (usually with a surcharge from your bank).

Doms Coffee Bar and Gelato is a handy stop as you enjoy a walk along the Lake Burley Griffin Foreshore. Whether you are getting a bite to eat to keep you going, a coffee to recharge your batteries, or an ice cream for the kids (and yourself!), then this little outlet will fit the bill. The views in itself are worth stopping for.
If you visit in Spring, the foreshore blossoms are particularly beautiful.
