Bunbury is a lovely place with lot of beaches, dolphins and the great Bunbury Lighthouse.
The Dolphin Centre is situated in Bunbury and is very famous for the dolphins, the beaches and also the fish aquarium.
Volunteers are quite helpful and brief you about the fish, crabs, sea horses, turtles and also the octopus. One of them will feed the octopus in front of the audience.
They also have a water theatre which gives the experience of underground water with fishes and dolphins around. They have two rides every day - one in morning and one in the afternoon, however if it is too windy, they may cancel the trips. The trips give you a chance to see the dolphins.
The lighthouse really gives you an insight to the place. It's beautiful to view the sunset from and also to walk on the beach besides the lighthouse. An evening walk with your loved one will make you feel in heaven.
Thank you for your article Jayashree. Just one small correction. We do not encourage or allow people to touch the wild dolphins as it is illegal to do so in Australia. This is also the case with Whales. our approach is a minimal inferference one where we allow the dolphins to choose the level of interaction. Kind regards, David (General Manager - Dolphin Discovery Centre)
Yes...I apologise...We cannot touch the dolphins......The sight of seeing dolphins makes you feel happy.......no wonder they say dolphins are your best friends....I will try to get it rectified...Thanks for bringing out the error......:)
