I remember when I was growing up, my mum and dad would put on the record (that's right - vinyl) of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers singing "Islands in the Stream" . This was my first taste of Dolly, and I thought she was super.

No doubt my mum and dad can still vividly picture my sisters and I dancing to this song next to the record player. It was one of my favourites, and still is.

Having penned some of the biggest songs in the world, like Joelene, Coat of Many Colours, and I Will Always Love You , (which in my opinion is much better than the Whitney version) Dolly Parton is set to hit our Aussie shores to sing these hits and many more.

Tuesday November 8 marks the date the Queen of Country Music will take the stage at Burswood Dome, and also marks the date my life will be complete.

Famous for her voluptuous figure and flamboyant dress sense, these won't be the only things making one and all flock to see her perform. This gal is talented.

She's racked up 25 number 1 singles, and a record 41 top ten country albums.

So get set for a night in "Dollywood', with Dolly Parton for her 'Better Day World Tour'. Tickets are available from Ticketek from 9am, June 20. Prices range from $99 - $299.
