When scrolling Instagram, I often sit and stare at confectionery accounts. During the Christmas holidays, I got even more interested to sweeten my festivities and grant myself a bunch of additional cuddles. One page drew my attention as I felt literally fascinated by its creations: Dolcissima Me .

The talented pastry chef Elisa embellishes her page with colourful macarons, cream tarts, extra-large cookies, cupcakes, chocolates and cheesecake mixes and tasty popsicles.

Elisa is a young and strongly determined entrepreneur, who courageously converted an old stable into a neat and bright lab.

The headquarters is in Malnisio, a small village at the foot of Friulian Pre-Alps, a perfect spot to enjoy fresh air and relax in nature. Without a doubt, the mountainous surroundings help this young lady to seize the perfect inspiration to realise the best desserts.

Elisa also demonstrates a solid competence towards projects management, as for each recurring event she creates specific boxes on a limited-edition basis. She has also been working hard on the release of the lab's online shop, an effort amply documented within her stories.

So, the spark that persuaded me to make an order were the products created for Christmas time. Since then, I have become one of her loyal and happy customers. In December, an array of products were delivered and this included tin boxes filled with different flavoured cookies and with emblematic writings saying, "First aid: emergency use only" and "Service & Repair", when someone would be in urge of sugar fuel.

Also, coloured cans cylinders in the shape of nutcracker and santa on top of each other were hiding chocolates and loads of cookies - it took three weeks to eat them all: how lucky was the pantry during his time of year!

Once finished with Christmas, we have just started the new year's birthdays. Last one was my grandmother's, and we ordered a marvellous cream tart, all covered with pink and lilac sweet garnishes, from fluffy macarons to fresh strawberries, romantic meringues, and pieces of glazed chocolate. It was surely a great outcome made by vanilla pastry, chocolate mousse and whipped cream. Not to mention the cute amount of meringue we bought, all in shape of pink smooth medium and lined big hearts.

Before the next party, the last one celebration has been San Valentine's Day. Couldn't Elisa miss this out? She came up with the idea of mini boxes with different topics to mark the love day. Consequently, pairs of avocados, red apples, bacon and eggs, milk and biscuits, cactus, coffee and doughnuts were ready to make San Valentine an enjoyable day.

As for me, my love right now is my dachshund Kelly, so I chose to buy dachshund cookies for both of us: two pink and one white followed by three small hearts and writing stating "a loooong love story". Truly creative and brilliant!
