Satisfy your sweet tooth at Dolcetti Espresso Bar
Dolcetti Espresso Bar is a cafe located in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide. This family-owned business is located on Glynburn Road in Firle. This cafe used to be small but when the lease expired on the shop next door, they took over, knocking down a wall and becoming bigger and better. The result, a popular, fresh and relaxing place for customers to come and enjoy items such as delicious coffee, sweet treats, light lunches, or their popular gelati.

'Dolcetti' is Italian for 'little sweets', and they sure have a variety. All cakes, biscuits and small sweets are made in-house and are the perfect side for their delicious coffee. The owners wanted to support local SA roasters and opted to go with D'angelo Coffee, a local roaster from Thebarton. With this amazing coffee bean and fantastic barista skills, you can't go wrong with a coffee here.

The owners are siblings Joe, Adam and Marisa. They have extensive experience in the hospitality industry and with a passion for creating amazing food products, this family trio has created a success. It's always great to see the owners serving and interacting with the customers and Joe and Adam, who I interacted with, were very friendly and welcoming.

This cafe won four South Australian Dairy Awards for their gelati and has something no one else has in Adelaide, its very own Nutella and chocolate tap! You can add the warm Nutella or chocolate to just about any treat. Their gelati range is very popular and they had some surprising flavours. All gelati are made in-house with imported Italian flavours. There are 24 fantastic flavours to choose from including vanilla bean, coffee, wild berry yoghurt, Baci, fig and walnut, strawberry and many more. You can get the gelati in waffle cones, ice-cream cups, dipped waffle cones and can add coatings such as hazelnuts, Hundreds and Thousands, chocolate cookie, vanilla cookie, coconut and of course, warm Nutella or chocolate.

This cafe also does catering for any size gathering. They make cannoli cakes, which are cannolis held together with chocolate, they can make these in a stack of 20, 30 or 40. They also make ice-cream cakes that can be for 20-40 people and they have a selection of cakes and biscuits to supply your next party or gathering. I think everything is amazing here, but you know what's really good? You can get gelati delivered right to your front door by Uber eats. You can absolutely forget that you're eating healthy and snack into some gelati on the couch with warm Nutella on the side for you to pour over when you receive it.

While I was here, I was overly pleased with the look of the place. My favourite colour, green, was everywhere, along with white and black touches. These colours together give a fresh, bright interior and with a full-length wall of windows it was bright, open and was very clean.

On our visit, we got two lattes, a fruit tart and almond ball and they were delicious. I am glad these sweets come in small servings because even though they were small, they were full of flavour, rich and surprisingly filling. For other drink options, the Nutella affogato sounded amazing, as so did the gelati shakes and you can't go wrong with freshly squeezed orange juice.

They have a large kitchen that was bursting with busy chefs preparing all the homemade treats and light lunches. They had a good selection of pastries to choose from and is all made in-house using Black Angus beef and chicken breast. They had sausage rolls, chunky beef pie, chicken and veg pie to name a few.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Dolcetti Espresso Bar - it's a relaxed environment perfect for a catch-up or just for a coffee or gelati. Support some talented South Australian workers and show some love to the guys at Dolcetti Espresso Bar with a visit.
