DokiDoki Station is a mobile cosplay maid cafe offering food, games and maid services.
Cosplay (costume play) involves players dressing up and role playing as popular characters from anime, comic books, video games and film.
Enter the cafe and be greeted by young, chirpy women dressed as maids, with welcoming smiles. A small room illuminated with fluorescent lighting, consists of only six tables seating not more than 6 customers each, to eat, drink, play, and socialise. The walls are lined with anime memorabilia, and with most members seeming to be regulars, the feeling is more like walking into someone's basement garage.
The changing food menu includes savouries ($18 inclusive of drink), fish fillets or mini pies; sweets ($15 inclusive of drink), cake or parfait; and snacks ($8), fries or edamame. Games on offer include Kao, Mikado, Jenga, playing cards, and Monopoly to name a few, and costs $5/15min. Other services include having a polaroid taken with a maid ($8), or dressing up as a maid and serving customers ($20). So find your inner anime character and enjoy a day of cosplay!
Please respect the rules of no unauthorised photography/filming, or asking maids/butlers for their contact details.
Open Friday 3pm-6:30pm and Sunday from 11.30am-5.30pm, at 422 Bourke St.
