With the past three screenings as part of Australian Revelations selling out, those keen to catch this month's one-off classic screening should get tickets while there are still some available.
Dogs in Space will be shown at Perth's Backlot Studio on March 30. It is a film released in the 1980s about the Australian punk scene in the 1970s, starring one of the nation's biggest names in rock, whose tragic death in the 1990s shocked much of the country.
Michael Hutchence of INXS fame, plays Sam, the main character among a bunch of other misfits living together in a run down house. Sam is the lead singer of a band called Dogs In Space.
The movie, directed by Richard Lowenstein, follows Sam's relationship with a fellow resident and the seemingly purposeless lives of the couple and the others they live alongside. Fans of the music from the late 1970s may enjoy the movie soundtrack, which is sure to take the audience back to a different time.
