A free Melbourne city tour for pooches has been put together by MPavilion; a temporary event hub in Queen Victoria Gardens that collaborates with thinkers, doers and makers to produce a free four–month program of talks, workshops, performances and installations; and Tom & Captain, a dog- walking business that doesn't just walk dogs around the block, but takes dogs on off-lead adventures over a variety of terrains all over Melbourne's inner suburbs.
Wagging tails and their two-legged family members can meet at MPavilion on Sunday 15 January 2017 at 10am to follow the leader of the pack into the city, where they will guide you and your dog to the best-sniffing spots and teach you all about Melbourne's urban landscape in relation to dogs and how they have historically figured into the city's urban landscape. You might even get taught a new trick or two.
No dog in your life? You're still invited! Join the pack and get in some pats and dog love without the responsibility.
MPavilion has been open since October 2016 and will sadly leave our lives on February 2017. Other events in its outstanding program can be browsed here.
If your dog is howling out for more adventures, Tom & Captain lead their pack on adventures every day of the week. More information about their dog walking adventures can be found here. And, if you're looking for yet another drool-worthy dog-based Instagram account to follow to feed your dog-loving addiction, Tom & Captain has what you're looking for here.
