Take your furry best friend on a lovely walk
Almost everyone loves the beach including our little furry best friends.

The list below includes Sydney top dog-friendly walks:

1. Sirius Cove
When: All year round- off leash hours see below.
Where: Sirius Cove Rd, Mosman
Details: This lovely, protected beach has plenty of shade on the grassed area behind the beach and is popular with families and dog lovers. It is renowned for gentle and shallow waters. There is off leash access all day on weekdays and before 9am and after 4pm on weekends and public holidays. The beach can be accessed by foot from Taronga Zoo and Bradleys Head via the Harbour Walking Track. Click here for website.

2. Silver Beach
When: All year round- 24hrs off leash.
Where: Off Charles Pde, Kurnell.
Details: This scenic stretch beach includes public baths, off leash 24 hours a day between third and fourth groynes (jetties) from the western end. Do note that dogs are prohibited on Silver Beach at all other locations. Click here for website.



3. Bondi to Coogee Walk
When: All year round- on-leash only.
Where: Start at Bondi Beach, Bondi
Details: Your four-legged friend will love this scenic walk with coastal views as you wonder past beaches, rugged cliffs, sheltered bays and rock pools. Click here for website.

4. Lake Parramatta Reserve

When: All year round - on-leash only. 6:30am-5:30pm (Daylight savings closes at 7:30pm)
Where: 28 Bourke St, North Parramatta
Details: This lovely on-leash walk takes you through the tranquil lush bushland area, where you and your furry friend can explore the reserve's many tracks and picnic areas. Click here for website.

5. Centennial Parkland
When: All year round- click here for opening/ close times.
Where: Oxford St, Centennial Park
Details: Your dog will love the vast space of Centennial Parklands, with just a few minutes from Sydney CBD, this parkland offers formal gardens, grasslands, discovery walks, history and heritage walks and huge recreational space with many on & off-leash areas.
