Dog-friendly Holidays in NSW

I have discovered three dog-friendly accommodation options in Northern NSW. All are a little different and each is unique in its own way.
1. Tweed River Motel
Tweed River Motel is located at 55 Tweed Valley Way overlooking the Tweed River. It is pet-friendly with prior approval; you'll need to mention you have a pet when you book. Phone contact is (02) 6672 3933
This location is great for swimming, fishing, rowing and water skiing or just sitting on your balcony with a glass of wine, watching the stunning sunset.
Tweed River Motel offers guests a free continental breakfast and provides laundry facilities, breakfast and dining area, 24-hour bell, swimming pool and outdoor barbeque and picnic areas overlooking the Tweed River. Next door there is a service station, fruit barn and Allan's Seafood for takeaway or dine-in.
2. Chinderah Village
Chinderah Village is located at 104 Chinderah Bay Rd. Chinderah on the Tweed River and is family owned and managed. Small dogs (under 10kg) are permitted with the approval of the manager. Phone (02) 6674 1536.
It is ideally situated for those who enjoy fishing and water sports.
Chinderah Village offers guests a recreation room with TV, laundry and dryers, a camp kitchen, a fenced shaded swimming pool, playground and a fully fenced barbeque area. Chinderah Tavern is an easy walk away at 156 Chinderah Bay Rd, Chinderah.
3. Wooyung Beach Holiday Park
Wooyung Beach Holiday Park is situated at 515 Wooyung Rd. Wooyung and it is one of the few remaining parks that have bush camping sites. Phone contact is (02) 6677 1300.
Dogs are permitted in the camping and caravan areas but not in the cabins or the small Motel on the property. There is no size limit for guest's dogs.
There is a laundry, an amenities block and drums are provided for open campfires. The very quiet beach is dog-friendly and perfect for long doggy walks. This is a great place to camp in fine weather but a word of caution; after sustained rain the creek that runs through the property rises quickly and the camping area floods. Pet owners also need to be aware it's a tick area and take the necessary precautions.
Wishing you and your dog happy holidays.
