There are lots and lots of off-leash parks in suburban Melbourne. Consider these if you are unable to keep your dog on a leash. Our wildlife will thank you.

Thanks Carol - you are absolutely right - we are spoilt for choice with off-leash parks in Melbourne - all councils have good details on their websites of which parks (and beaches) are suitable for off-leash and any time restrictions which may apply. As I emphasised in the article, keeping your dog on lead in the state and national parks I have mentioned which allow dogs is absolutely fundamental.
