Do you like taking your dog out on outings? If you answered yes, then read on as this list will make it easier for you to find one near you.

This is the latest list of events, many of which you can take your dogs along as well as your family.

1. Darebin Pet Expo
Address: Edwardes Lake, Edwardes St, Reservoir.
Date: 24th March

The Darebin Pet Expo is back in 2019 and it will be all about celebrating those things that we so love about our pets.

Here you will be able to speak to the following:
Rescue groups
Animal businesses
Vets
Animal behaviourists
Specialist dog trainers
Obedience clubs
And more people in the animal industry

Even if you do not own a pet at the moment, all the stallholders can give you their specialist advice on how you can become a responsible pet owner. They can also help you work out which type of pet is suitable for your lifestyle. They can even connect you with adoption, rescue and foster organisations.

This is a free community event and held in conjunction with the Darebin Community and Kite Festival.

2. Pets in the Valley
Address: Old Gippstown Heritage Park, 211 Lloyd Street, Moe
Date: Sunday 24th March

This will be a fun day with the following on:

German Shepherd club demonstrations

3. Pet Expo 2019
Address: Kingston Heath Reserve, Centre Dandenong Rd, Cheltenham
Date: Saturday 30th March

Bring Fido or your very best friend and your family to Kingston's Pet Expo for a fun day out. This FREE event will start at 10 am and finish at 3 pm and is across the road from DFO.

The program for the day includes:
Free activities including pony rides and face painting
Fun competitions for dogs and cats, categories include: happiest dog, best dog trick, owner-dog best look-alike, a photo of prettiest and grumpiest cats
Frankston Fly Ball Competition
Ferret races
Presentations by Guide Dogs Victoria
Animal farm by donation (all proceeds go to Guide Dogs Victoria)
Community sausage sizzle
A variety of food and drink vendors
50 free show-bags for dogs and cats – goodies include leads, toys, and treats

4. Knox Pets in the Park 2019
Address: Gilbert Park, Gilbert Park Drive, Knoxfield
Date: 31st March


This will be run by No Hairs Ark, who is a charitable organisation and Australia's only breed specific Chinese Crested rescue. Bring your dog along to this event for a fun time.



5. Doggy Day Out Warragul
Address: Burke Street Park, Warragul
Date: 28th April

Doggy Day Out will have:
More than 30 market stalls
Food trucks
Activities for dogs and their owners
Dog training demonstrations
Jumping castles
Face painters
And more

The first people to arrive at the event will receive a free show bag for their dog. Dog owners from Warragul and surrounding areas are encouraged to bring their furry friends along to meet other dog lovers. This will also support the local businesses having a market stall on the day.

6. Dog Lovers Show
Address: Royal Exhibition Building, 9 Nicholson Street, Carlton.
Date: Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th May

The Dog Lovers Show will return even bigger and better this year. Celebrate and learn more about our best friends at one of the largest festivals in the world dedicated to educating, entertaining and informing dog lovers.

You will be able to see Australia's most talented dogs in action. They will be performing in the Black Hawk DockDogs pool and the VitaPet Arena. There will also be brand new exciting shows, including a K9 Ninja Warrior course and skipping dogs!

With over 120 dogs of different breeds on show and dozens of breed clubs, this will be a very interesting few days. You can go to free talks from experts and see hundreds of the latest doggie products available to the public.

7. Canines & Vines at Witchmount
Address: Witchmount Estate Winery, 557 Leakes Road, Plumpton.
Date: Saturday 6th April

At Witchmount Cellar Door you are invited to bring your dog to enjoy a Shiraz or two at their dog-friendly winery!

Two food trucks will be there to feed you and your fur baby and these will be Maverick N Goose (human food) and Watson Barkery (dog food). There will be heaps of treats and drinks for sale, so come along and play in the vines. Children will be able to have face painting and there will be water stations around for everyone.



8. Around The Bay Doggy Trek
Address: Gourmet Pawprints, Rest Stop G, The Boulevard, Melbourne
Dates: 13th April and 4th May

Around The Bay Doggy Trek is a unique experience which takes in the best Port Phillip has to offer with your dog. Bella the dog welcoming bus will drive you and of course, your furry friends will get the window seat!

You and your friend will wander down coastal treks on both sides of the bay and travel on board Searoad Ferries. You will stop for some morning tea in Geelong and a picnic basket lunch in Queenscliff. This will be an easy walk and will be 5km along the clear waters from Point Lonsdale to Queenscliff. By the time you have finished the walk and are back on the bus, your best friend will probably be sleeping peacefully!
