If you still don't have plans for this coming Sunday... how about a Sunday sesh at The Courty (Courtyard Hotel) in Newtown? As part of the Courty Trust fund, an initiative set up to help raise funds and awareness for local charities, The Courty has team upped with Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic Sydney for an afternoon of dog filled fun. Bring the partners, bring the friends, but most importantly ... bring the doggos!
The Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic Sydney set up a compassionate fund called Project Hope that aims to help financially disadvantaged pet owners get much-needed help for their much loved furry family members when they need it most. As such, this fun dog event doubles up as a fundraiser for an important animal charity that can help heaps of other fellow Australian pet owners like us!

There'll be a twist on the way drinks are purchased - in addition to the regular drinks that are available at The Courty, you will also be able to purchase a drink from "karma kegs"! Just like the name suggests, you pay an amount of your choosing, with all proceeds going to Project Hope. The kegs will be tapped at 1pm, and will only be available while stocks last of course! Kegs were kindly donated by Young Henry's and Stone and Wood respectively. There will also be face painting - for both the kids and the young at heart. No judgement!
As for more doggy centred activities, there will be a spin on guessing the number of sweets in a jar - instead, you'll be guessing the amount of kibble in a jar. Winner gets to take it all home! There will also be polaroids taken of you and your doggo for The Courty's pupper wall, in addition to free check-ups conducted by Southern Cross clinicians.
Perhaps most importantly, there will be a raffle with some amazing prizes, for both the doggos and the humans! Prizes include:
