A brand new dog friendly cafe has opened up in the Swan Valley. It's not just another cafe, it's a 'destination' cafe where you can go with your pooch for more than just a coffee. Let me explain.

Swan Valley Vet opened in July 2016 and since then they have been adding to their wonderful facilities.

The latest edition is a brand new dog-friendly cafe, located next to the enclosed dog park. So you can now enjoy a beverage whilst your dog enjoys a play at the park. Genius idea!

There are plenty of shady seating & tables dotted around the attraction and it would seem they have thought of everything for us dog owners, as by each table, there are leash fasteners to clip your dog's leash to. So no more putting the leash under the chair leg!

They have a wide selection of coffee, teas and milkshakes plus hot chocolate, with prices starting from $3.50.

They also currently serve a small selection of sweet treats, biscuits and savoury toasties, prices from $3.00.

Their menu will sure to expand with the warmer weather approaching.

There is, of course, something for your fur baby to enjoy too; a sweet and savoury option. The savoury option are sardine and sweet potato dog shaped biscuits, banana and peanut butter bone-shaped treats are the sweet option. They are excellent value at just $1.00 for two treats.

There is fresh drinking water available for your dog at the cafe and also in the enclosed dog park.

The enclosed dog park has some agility equipment inside as well as enough room for a run around with plenty of shade from the trees.

Another new addition is the DIY dog wash. $11.00 for 11 minutes with tokens available to purchase from the cafe or vet clinic. You may prefer to pay using your credit card instead of buying a token.

They have thoughtfully provided a waterproof apron too.

I still need to mention that near the new cafe, there is a new playground for kids! It's a back to nature fully enclosed park that fits well with the local environment. A few sand toys and buckets and spades would go down a treat here and I'm sure they will be provided in the near future; everything is still brand spanking new and not running at full capacity yet.

There are other exciting projects on the horizon too with a massive fully enclosed lawned area that will provide an assortment of dog training/obedience work and agility lessons.

So to recap, you can take your dog to the vet and then have a swim at the Dog Swim Club. After their swim, they can have a play in the enclosed dog park and then have a bath. The children can play in the back to nature playground whilst you enjoy a deserved hot beverage at the cafe whilst your dog relaxes and enjoys time with the family.

It has all the ingredients for a flawless family day out! All this in the beautiful Swan Valley. Perfect.

Like their Facebook page to stay up to date with the changing opening hours.
