If you're a fan of Australian television shows, you will know the ABC series of "The Doctor Blake Mysteries" is set in Ballarat.

You can enjoy a walking tour of Lydiard Street where some of the filming has taken place.

Locations include the Old Colonists' Club, Heritage on Lydiard, The Mining Exchange, Art Gallery of Ballarat, Regent Cinemas, Ballarat Train Station and the Burke & Wills Fountain.

Ballarat's other tourist attractions used in the series include Arch of Victory, Town Hall, Ballarat Airport, Pax Hill Activity Centre and Lake Wendouree.

The Doctor Blake Mysteries is set in 1959. It stars Craig McLachlan (Lucien Blake), Nadine Garner (Jean Beazley), Joel Tobeck (Matthew Lawson), Charlie Cousins (Charlie Davis) and Cate Wolfe (Mattie O'Brien).

Producer George Adams said "We hoped that Ballarat would become one of the stars of the show and it has".
