Judy Buckrich, historian for the Melbourne Docklands Authority, shares her research on the Port of Melbourne from the discovery of Port Philip Bay by Europeans in 1802 to the technological innovations in shipping and cargo that turned the port village to the largest container port in Australia. The session runs on Thursday 28 September 2017 between 6pm and 7pm and is free, although bookings are essential.
