It is said that
Dobermann dog was first brought to Australia in 1952 and are considered a dog that would protect your property and family. The Dobermann was developed by German Louis Dobermann in the 1888s where he could see the need for a fearless watchdog and so he started breeding with local dogs that he selected. The true breed of a Doberman is of a muscular and elegant body, medium size and sleek coats and can come in four colours with rust tan markings – brown, black, blue and fawn. They make a loving pet for couples and children, however, are boisterous and like to play.
The
West Aussie Doberman Group host a
on the second Sunday of each month, weather permitting, commencing at
Sir James Mitchell Park from 10.00am to 12 Noon. The walks help spread the awareness of this classic breed of dog, showing others that they are not savage or vicious and that they exist in every community. Treat animals the way you would like to be treated and you have a loyal friend forever.
No breeder promotions are on this walk, just a group of Doberman loving individuals who love sharing time with their pets as well as meeting others to share their experiences and home life with this beautiful breed of dog.
If you would like to learn more about the Doberman or have a Doberman pet, please join the group for a couple of fun hours. The first Sunday event for 2020, is 12th January and following on Sunday 9th February. Contact can be made with the group through
Facebook event page by sending a message. This event is free.
