Do You Have a Christmas Tradition

It's hard to believe, but Christmas has come around again. The trees are lit in the windows of homes, the music is playing in shopping centres and many families are working out the finer details of their Christmas plans.



Although it's not a set tradition, each year my family try to sit down and watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation; a funny movie that reminds us that families certainly aren't perfect.

When I lived at home, my Mum would always give me and my brother a 'pre-Christmas' gift on Christmas Eve which started the celebrations early.

At night we would leave carrots out for the reindeer and milk and biscuits for Santa and we would wake up all excited that the milk was gone and the carrots were chewed.

I know of a family who get together on Christmas Eve and all wear their new pyjamas for the day and also sit down and watch a movie.

Some families go out on Christmas Eve and drive around searching for the perfect light display whilst some stay home and have a Christmas Eve dinner.

I would love to hear about your family traditions at Christmas. Who knows, I might just adopt some and make them my own next year.
