When I think upcoming, alternative rock, I think of three words;
Dead Letter Circus.
For those who have not been fortunate enough to see one of Australia's best emerging alternative rock acts, you now can, with a Brisbane date announced for the No Fracking Way Tour. That's right; Dead Letter Circus will be playing at
The Zoo in Fortitude Valley on 16 August 2011.
The band has made waves among the music industry and toured with the likes of Aussie bands The Butterfly Effect, Karnivool and US bands Chevelle and Helmet. With bands like these becoming fans of Dead Letter Circus, it's no wonder their fan base is growing.
Local boy Kim Benzie is the front man for the Brisbane band and a huge talent in alternative rock, giving front men like Clint Boge of Brisbane rock export The Butterfly Effect an outstanding competitor to defeat.
Dead Letter Circus have released their first studio album
This is the Warning three years after their 2007 EP Dead Letter Circus, fans will mosh and sing from start to finish. The band has broken into the UK with headline tours and the US music markets, signing with Sumerian Records and touring with Animals as Leaders.
DLC's latest record
This is the Warning is just the beginning for what will undoubtedly be a very successful Aussie export, so see them now while the venue's are more small and intimate. It's a decision you won't regret.
Tickets are on sale through
Oztix and cost $30.60.
