In the heart of Northbridge, located on one of the quieter streets, is a cosy little place called The Dizzy Witch Café. This café is a bit of a hidden treasure, the food is top-notch, the service is spot-on and one of the best things about the Dizzy Witch is that they do a great all-day-breakfast.
If you choose to sit inside, there is a variety of seating, sofa-chairs, tables and chairs or wall bench and stools, or outside there are tables and chairs on the footpath. The Dizzy Witch Café is usually busy, so if you see a table grab it quickly before someone else beats you to it.
The menu has something for everyone and it's pretty cool as most of the dishes have 'witch' themed names. The breakfast menu includes such dishes as Toast the Witch ($5.50) - Choice of white, wholemeal, multi-grain, sour dough, rye or fruit bread served with jam/marmalade/honey or Vegemite & butter, The Warlocks Last Meal ($19.00) - bacon, eggs (cooked to your choice) on your choice of toast , grilled roma tomato, potato rosti, mushrooms & beef chipolata, or from the lunch menu such things as the Hocus-Pocus Chicken Burger ($16.50) - grilled chicken breast, cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado & mayo on a toasted bun and served with wedges.
They have the usual breakfast dishes on the menu but they also have some different dishes such as Moroccan Eggs, and there are a few vegetarian options available. The lunch menu contains paninis, club sandwiches and burgers, all fresh and made to order.
The Dizzy Witch Café has daily specials which can include home-made pies, sausage rolls, frittata and quiche. Also back on the menu for winter is a hot, delicious and very popular range of soups.
There are 'Dizzy Potions' on the menu, which you may have guessed are drinks, a variety of excellent coffees, hot teas, freshly squeezed juices, spiders, milk shakes and soft drinks. Another little added touch is the water – ice cold or room temperature water is provided on a self-serve basis – and it's free.
The Dizzy Witch Café is a great place to meet for breakfast, lunch or a coffee. Perfect for meetings or functions and they are only too happy to cater for your next special occasion. They have free wi-fi too so you can work (or play) as you eat.
The Dizzy Witch Café is open Tuesday to Sunday from 7am to 4pm, serving early morning breakfast to their loyal clientele of regulars. You are sure to enjoy a visit to The Dizzy Witch Cafe, you will leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face.
