There are so many chemicals in a lot of deodorants that you buy from the supermarket. That doesn't necessarily mean that these deodorants are bad for you, but they aren't really good for the environment. A lot of people have started to move towards more natural and
chemical-free deodorants. Some have even started to make their own.
You can attend a DIY workshop that lasts for about 1 hour and learn everything you need to know about making your own deodorant. You get the chance to choose from different fragrances and take home your finished product.
The workshop is run by waste educator, Peg Davies and you get to learn her special recipe which means that your own deodorant will come out perfectly every time. And of course, the recipe that you learn will be something else that you can take home with you too. Her workshop teaches you tips and ingredients to help you save money and also save the environment.
Light refreshments will be provided. The workshop starts at 10am, on Sunday 22nd of May. Make sure to bring your own jar to bring home your new deodorant. This class is only $5 and the things you will learn are going to be invaluable if you choose to continue making your own deodorants. After this, who knows. You may start making your own soaps and candles too. The sky is the limit!
