Here are some tips for the easiest ways to create your own beauty products, with ingredients found in your kitchen.
Sugar Body Scrub To make an exfoliating body scrub, simply mix two tablespoons of olive oil into a cup of sugar. The resulting mixture will be a rough, grainy substance, perfect for scrubbing away dead skin cells, while the oil will soften and moisturise. Just wash and rinse when you're done.

Milk Bath If you're feeling tired and need a quick pick-me-up, this bath will have you feeling refreshed in no time. Just draw a hot bath for yourself, and pour in a can of whole-fat coconut milk (or 2 cups from a carton). Then, simply add a few drops of lavender essential oil. When you come out of your bath, your skin should be soft and heavenly scented.
To revive lifeless hair, peel, core and grate 2 large apples (or 3 small ones). Add 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon corn flour, and stir thoroughly. Cover (dry) hair with the mask, and leave on for about 30 minutes, before rinsing out with warm water. Your hair should be shinier and bouncier afterwards.
Anti-Wrinkle Mask This is one of the easiest masks you will ever make. Simply mash up an avocado, apply to clean skin, and leave on for roughly 15 minutes (or longer if you prefer). High in Vitamins C and E, avocado is one of the best anti-ageing foods there is.

Pimple treatment If you can see a blemish forming, dab some toothpaste on it, preferably before bed. By morning, the pimple should have dried itself out.
So, next time you need a quick beauty fix, don't go charge up the credit card – just open your fridge or pantry, pamper yourself at home.
