The near city suburb of Paddington is known for its rich culture with galleries, art and craft shops, fashion boutiques, great food outlets and much more.

It is in Paddington that the old Tramway Substation building encourages local artists – with quirky outdoor artwork, a classroom in the mezzanine area, a coffee lounge and bar, and a gallery to display the works of local artists. The history of the Substation is most interesting. You can read it here

It is in this gallery that the works of the Warrior Women in Art, in an exhibition called "The Divine Femmes" are on display after their opening on November 21st. The exhibition continues until December 3rd, 2015, so there's plenty of time to see the works, and enjoy a coffee or glass of wine!

Just a brief story. A mother with a little boy was showing him the artwork on the walls and asked him which one he liked best. Much to her amusement he pointed below the artwork to a guitar which was not part of the exhibition. Perhaps he will be a musician one day?

Michelle Bowden leads the group who come together as a great support group and help each other through their trials, tribulations, and successes. Her artwork was slightly hidden – and if you meet her, she will explain why. It is different!! Below is a photo of some of her works – can you guess what the subject of her work is?

Perhaps you will have to go visit the exhibition to find out!

On sale also are packs of postcards featuring the works of all the artists. Do visit their Facebook page.
