Slip and slide your way into The Docklands Ice Slide
The winter school holidays are well and truly upon us in Melbourne, and if you're struggling with the idea of going into the chilly weather, perhaps this will change your mind! The District Docklands Ice Slide - the only ice slide in Melbourne these school holidays - will be running for two weeks only. Trust me when I say, this is well worth getting out of the house for.
Embracing the chill of Melbourne in winter, the ice slide is generating a big freeze in the District Docklands shopping precinct. For just a gold coin donation (which will be all for a good cause!), you and your child can experience the thrill and fun of the slide. Each slide sees an animated GIF be created of your slide, so you can relive the fun again. Children under 3 and under 80cm are unfortunately not permitted on the slide, and children under 4 must ride with an adult. Make sure to rug up too, after all, it is an ice slide!
The Ice Slide will be available from the 29th of June to the 14th of July, 11am - 5pm daily.
If you're an adult that would love to ride the slide but worry this is just for kids - rest assured that this slide is for all ages. The Ice Slide even has a special 'over 18' time slot, ensuring the big kids get some time to slide too. The over 18 event will run on the 5th and 12th of July from 6pm, serving up tunes and samples of San Churro doughnuts. There will also be beer and coffee to purchase too, making this a perfect Friday night out for the young at heart.
