If you're the parent of daughters you'll know that at some stage all of them want to be a princess. They're not too particular about the mechanics of it all. These days they're surrounded by real-life commoner-to-royalty examples like Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, who is admittedly not a princess but is married to a prince. Little girls don't draw distinctions about these things, so why should we? If all else fails any junior princess in the making knows that she can kiss a frog and her life will be transformed.

[ADVERT]You can always count on Disney to keep the princess dreams alive and this year they're going all out with the Disney Princess Film Festival @ Event Cinemas nationally from 9 February to 17 March. Your princess can get lost in the magic of some of Disney's favourite princesses, including Jasmine from Aladdin, Tangled's Rapunzel and the evergreen Cinderella.

The festival, showing at all Event cinemas, has movies scheduled in a convenient, family-friendly weekend morning time slot. There will be two sessions each weekend, with a different princess featuring each week.
