Disney On Ice celebrates Mickey and Friends

On Friday 10th May, I excitedly exchanged my shoes for ice skates at Acacia Ridge Iceworld to celebrate the latest Disney on Ice production, Mickey and Friends.

Before we hit the ice, guests were treated to a fabulous performance by a troupe of young figure skaters from Acacia Ridge and Boondall Iceworld dancing to Disney tunes. The troupe will also perform pre-show at Disney on Ice on Saturday 29 June.





Making history as the first Dad to take on the role of Disney Ambassador, Tom Williams introduced the event and Disney on Ice skaters, Grant Marron, who portrays Captain Li Shang from Mulan and Anna Bradshaw, who plays Rapunzel from Tangled.



Grant Marron and Anna Bradshaw then impressed guests with their skating ability.



We were then invited to join in the fun. The figure skaters eagerly assisted the young children and the rink was soon dotted with children dressed in princess gowns, Minnie Mouse costumes and crowns.



After a morning of skating, guests were invited into the cafe to enjoy a morning tea of cupcakes, fruit and popcorn.





The fun continued when Mickey Mouse made a surprise appearance, posing for photos with the excited children.



Celebrate the magic of Disney these school holidays. Disney on Ice will be skating into the Brisbane Entertainment Centre between Friday 29 June and 1 July 2019. This magical spectacular will feature more than 14 tales including Toy Story, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Beauty and the Beast and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. For the first time, Moana will take to the ice for a high-seas adventure.



With classic Disney songs, breathtaking choreography and amazing costumes, this show will create memories for the whole family.
