There has been a resurgence of interest in drive-ins. It makes sense as in your car you are in your own little bubble. Take the family and it becomes the family bubble. And in these family-orientated sessions, you can even bring your dog.
Disney has teamed up with Open Air Cinemas to bring back the old-fashioned drive-in. There's a whole host of Disney movies from December 3rd continuing until December 28th. To add to the fun this event will be at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
There will be food and drink available but you are also welcome to bring your own. A good way to keep costs down.
If you decide to buy food and drink at the venue, there will be contactless delivery. A service called Mr Yum delivers your goods. Guests can order from the app on their phone and one of the friendly staff members will deliver to your car space.
This is an alcohol-free event and pass outs will be available for those who wish to smoke. Masks must be worn if you choose to sit outside your vehicle.
The line-up includes:
Aladdin Freaky Friday
Moana and the Legendary Sea Star Wars: The Force Awakens Thor Ragnarok
The Little Mermaid Singing Voice
The Simpsons Movie
The Lion King
10 Things I Hate About You
Anna and the Snow Queen-Along
Muppet Christmas Carol
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Home Alone 2
