Event:
Learn about the river system and environment
The Port River

The Port Environment Centre invites you to join them for a Discovery Walk in Port Adelaide on Sunday, 26th March 2023 from 10.00am to 12.00pm. The walk will take you on the waterside and urban area of the Port River. With a rich maritime and Kaurna history, you will learn about the river system and environment and perhaps a chance to see the dolphins.

Lighthouse

The walk is about 6 kilometres and you will need a moderate level of fitness. The terrain will be mostly flat, however, you will encounter a flight of stairs and some gradual inclines and decline. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, have sun protection or raincoat if wet weather is forecast. Also please bring your own water, snacks or whatever personal items you may require.

The meeting place is outside the Port Adelaide Visitor Centre, 66 Commercial Road, Port Adelaide. The cost is $5.00. If you are bringing someone under the age of 18 years old, please make sure they are accompanied by an adult and have a registered ticket. Visit their website to book your tickets.

One of the Wonderwalls

After the walk, if you are still able, why not wander around the town and see some of the beautiful Wonderwalls artworks recently completed!
