Playground in park

At the end of the main street is a big park called McCann Park. The park features a unique chainsaw tree sculpture. The sculpture was created from a red-gum tree stump and showcases two local birds, the wedged tailed eagle and the mallee fowl. In the park is a big playground, picnic areas and clean toilet facilities.

Community rose garden

Across from the park is the Community Rose garden, again with beautiful grounds and picnic areas.

The Lions Club park

The Douglas DC3 Dakota plane

Not far from the rose garden is the town's Lions Club park featuring the Douglas DC3 Dakota plane. The aircraft was built in 1943 and donated to the West Wyalong Lions Club.

Also in the Lions Club Park is the Bland, Dull and Boring sign commemorating the League of Extraordinary Communities formed between Bland in New South Wales, Dull in Scotland and Boring in the United States. "You will soon discover that Bland is far from Dull and Boring!"

Oh what a lovely little town. There sure is nothing bland about it. Definitely worth a stopover if ever passing through that way.
