There are always flowers for those who want to see them: HM
Alliance Francaise de Brisbane has arranged a stimulating set of workshops for children aged between 4 and 10 years to appreciate the lives, works, colours and techniques of great French artists. In the second of this series of workshops the participants will visit the wonderful and abstract world of Henri Matisse. Known for his use of colour and flowing and inventive drawings, Matisse was above all a painter but he was also renowned for his sculpture, prints and draughtsmanship. He was a true artist.
For two stimulating hours your 'Enfants' can learn how Matisse used colours as well as his techniques and the shapes he fashioned in this hands-on workshop. Presented by Alliance Française de Brisbane in their premises at 262 Montague Road, West End the Matisse Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, 9 September, 2017 from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Cost per 'enfant' is $60.00. However, there is an Early Bird Discount if paid before 1 September of 20% for AF members and 15% for non-members. Don't be the reason your child misses out so book now and get the discount in either:
For the children, this will be a morning of Matisse and his wonderful world of imagery and on top of that, they will begin developing their own talents with drawings, paintings and songs as well as enjoying food and games.
The workshop has been designed for every child's enjoyment. There will be a workshop conducted in French while non-French speakers will be looked after in a different group.
