The sun has returned and the days are finally getting longer. Even better, it's a great time of year to get out on the water, so why not do just that? The Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia is running a FREE Discover Sailing Day on Sunday 26th October. If you've never been sailing or want to find out what all the fuss is about, well now you can!

Feel how the boat moves through the waves with the breeze in your hair and the ocean spray. Dangle your feet over the edge and feel the adrenaline rush as the water streams past beneath your feet. You may even spot a dolphin or two!

The best part is it's free to participate in! You can bring your family, friends, colleagues, or anyone you know who'd like to experience what it's like to be out on the water under sail. Or be brave and come on your own, you'll soon discover the social aspect of sailing and most sailors love to have a chat.

Afterwards you're welcome to have a look around the club facilities, stay for a meal at the restaurant or find out about the various sailing programs and courses available through the club's sail training centre, the CYCSA Marine Academy.

Instructors are fully qualified but very happy and easy going. After all, their job is the best job in the world, and they know how to make sure you have a fun and safe experience! Everything you need in terms of safety equipment is supplied, just make sure you wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting wet, and be prepared with sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.

Four 2 hour sessions will run at various times throughout the day. You'll need to book to secure your spot on the boat. Last year over 40 people participated at the Cruising Yacht Club, so make sure you don't miss out!

• Session 1 – 8.30am
• Session 2 – 10.30am
• Session 3 – 1.00pm
• Session 4 – 3.00pm
