In real life is so much better than online for cheap tickets
If you have ever had a dream of watching a show on Broadway, it's really not that hard to make it a reality if you are heading to New York.
There are plenty of places to purchase tickets on line, even at a discounted price, but if you want to really have an experience then take a stroll to Time Square and check out TKTS.
At TKTS you can purchase Broadway and Off Broadway show tickets at a twenty to fifty percent discount, the only catch is it's for the same day. The signs at either side of the red steps in Farther Duffy Square will tell you what is on offer, so if you can be a little flexible and patient you will certainly see a show at a great price.
The booths open from 10am to 2pm and then again from 3pm to 8pm. Get there early as the queues certainly take the long winding form of a massive snake before very long. The good thing is that once the booths open the line moves at a reasonable pace.
The queue experience can be a show unto itself, as there are people to watch and the attendants keeping the lines from becoming an unruly mess are quite entertaining.
So if you want the full experience of going to a Broadway show then take the plunge and join the line at TKTS in Time Square.
