I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

You'll Feel Like Dancing

Bingo with a twist and a bump or two. Grab a group of friends and head to the Jack McNamara lounge at Blacktown Workers Club for two music filled hours of fun. Liam Bradbery is the personable young host and he bounces up to each table with the unique game cards and textas. He gets everyone in the mood for fun with his brightly coloured flowery flared 70s suit and good humour.

Disco Bingo is like standard bingo but instead of numbers you mark off song names on a game card. About 30 seconds of the songs are played for you to mark off the game card. There is no need to worry though as there are plenty of clues and hints given. There is a prize each round for the first to get a row of three or five, then for the card of fifteen songs. Throughout the evening random prizes are awarded for singing, dancing and table numbers. There are three rounds which take about 20 minutes each with a small break after each game. The competition is very friendly and low key and it is great reliving some of the songs and learning a bit of music trivia along the way.

This activity is suitable for all, there were large family groups and tables of couples on the night we went. The music is from various genres and there are modern songs as well as disco classics. The main thing was that everyone was having a great time. Regular hosted Dolly's Disco Bingo events are held in Victoria and NSW and can also be hired for corporate and charity functions.
