"Let's get outside and play some disc golf!" say the kids. Wait...what? Disc golf? What is that? Allow me to explain.


Disc golf is a game set up across various community parks in South-East Queensland for the enjoyment of families and anyone who likes to have fun in the great outdoors. The rules are displayed at the park and it is pretty easy to understand.



You can play as individuals or teams. This game shares the same principle as golf where players step up to a starting marker and try to land their frisbee in the basket. Each starting point and landing basket are numbered so you know where to aim and where to go next. It's a great way to get the kids outside running around and having fun family time.



The beauty of the Collingwood Park Disc Golf is that it is located in the peaceful Jamboree Park on the corner of Collingwood Park Drive and Duncan Street in Collingwood Park. There are walking tracks with lots of trees for shade on the warmer days along with an open kick around area, seating and BBQs. The only drawback is there are no toilet facilities but Redbank Plaza shopping centre is just down the road.

So grab your frisbee and get yourself outside for something a little different and have fun while enjoying the fresh air.
