Adelaide Festival Centre presents: Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage , starring Kurt Phelan as Johnny Castle and Kirby Burgess as Francis Baby Houseman. The show is running until October 31st at The Adelaide Festival Theatre.

Everybody knows the story of Dirty Dancing. Originally released in 1987, it's still highly popular with generations today. The stage production brings Baby and Johnny's romance to life right in front of your eyes with sexy dance moves and a connection you would think extends beyond the stage, as it's so well done.

Phelan gives Patrick Swayze a run for his money, remarkably replicating the moves that sent generations of woman crazy when they saw him shake those hips. Burgess is as sweet and innocent as Jennifer Grey in the movie, until she discovers the feelings behind learning a dance routine with an incredibly sexy dance teacher.

While on holiday in a holiday camp with her family, Frances "Baby" Houseman (Kirby Burgess) falls in love with the camp's dance instructor Johnny Castle (Kurt Phelan). When Johnny's current dance partner Penny (Maddie Peat) falls pregnant to Robbie (Chris Ostrenski) she needs someone to fill in for her while she sees a doctor. Johnny (Phelan) teaches Baby (Burgess) how to dance and their relationship grows.

The stage production recreates all the best moments from the movie including the lifts in the sea, dancing on the log and "How do you call your Lover Boy?". This is a must see production where Johnny and Baby fall in love right in front of you. The choreography is impeccable and just like watching the 1987 movie.

Featuring all your favourite songs including "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" , "Do You Love Me?", "Hungry Eyes" and more.

This must see production will be playing at The Adelaide Festival Theatre until Oct 31st.
