If you've been thinking about studying online and are interested in sustainable living, then now is a great time to start.

The University of Tasmania is currently offering a 100% HECS scholarship and Students Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) waiver for all units in the Diploma of Sustainable Living, which means that the course is available at no cost for eligible students.

The diploma consists of 8 units and is offered completely online, which make is perfect for people living in regional or remote areas of Australia, or those who may be juggling work and family commitments, and can't attend face-to-face university classes. The course is also flexible, so you can choose to study 1 unit at a time, or take on a full-time study load if you'd prefer.

The Diploma consists of 2 compulsory units and 6 electives.

For full details of the assessments for each unit, visit 'course structure', and then click on 'details' next to each unit.

Other things to remember:
As part of the enrolment process, all students will be required to complete an eCAF form to receive the HECS scholarship, so make sure you submit the form before the census date.

Please clarify if the course is really free or it will be considered a student loan under HECS? If it is HECS, then that will pe payable through tax deductions once the student works and income reaches a certain threshold.
