Take the time and stress out of weekday meals
Your weekday meals have definitely lost their sparkle. You end up cooking the same things over and over. You often have 'nothing to cook' yet end up with lifeless sad veggies lurking in the depths of the fridge. Sound familiar? Well, a business based in Perth could just be the thing you're looking for.

Dinner Twist plan, shop and deliver right to your door. Each week they prepare a menu, carefully testing all of the recipes to make sure they fit the brief on time (30 minutes), method (pretty easy) and nutrition (they are given a tick of approval by a nutritionist).

They prepare recipe cards listing out the ingredients and instructions to make the four meals, complete with an index of everything in the box. The recipes are all super-easy and on the table in 30 minutes or less.

Recipe Cards

I'm not a big recipe person, I prefer to just create as I go. However my hesitation was quickly eased - these recipes are very practical, easy to follow and easily adapted. If there are less people home it's easy to pop something in the freezer or mix things up a little. I've also been surprised at how a few different ingredients or a new technique can completely transform a dish you thought you knew back to front. The quality is great as well - they source local and free range meats and the veggies (loads of) are super-fresh.

Dinner Twist will tell you in advance the menu for the week and any pantry items (like oil or honey) you may need, but the kids don't know that and I'd like to keep it that way! After all, the 'mystery box' as they call it never fails to excite and they haven't turned down a meal yet. These boxes are also great for the reluctant or inexperienced cook - if they aren't confident planning and preparing meals it really couldn't be easier!

You can elect to pick up your box from South Fremantle, otherwise the ingredients and recipe cards are delivered to your door on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon, and they will leave it if you're not home. They now deliver all over WA, from Port Hedland to Albany and everywhere inbetween. Regional deliveries are on a Wednesday.

The most common way to use Dinner Twist is to subscribe, which you can alter or pause from week to week. There are foodie and family boxes which are just different menus. It's easy to swap between the two if something takes your fancy when the next weeks menus are revealed.

Boxes have four meals and can be ordered for 2 or 4 people (upgrade options also available). Boxes can be made pork, lamb or fish free as well as gluten friendly. They also offer a vegetarian box of three meals.

The foodie and family boxes containing four meals cost $109 for two people or $149 for four which is spot on when you consider there are no impulse purchases at the shops, no wasted food and a lot of time saved. First-time subscribers can receive a discount on this by entering the unique code 19WQTT9 in checkout!
