This year's running of the annual Dinner Plain Sled Dog Challenge is a milestone for the event, the 21st anniversary of Australia's original sled dog race.

Over the two day event more than 350 dogs and their handlers, known as 'Mushers' will pit strength and endurance against both the elements and challenging terrain as well as test the relationship between man and beast.
Mostly Siberian Husky's and Alaskan Malamutes renowned for their speed and endurance teams of two, three, four, six and eight dogs will race along Dinner Plain's spectacular tree-lined trails looking to set the fastest time in their class over both days.

Demonstrations of freight-sled pulling will feature along with snow-ball throwing and snow-man building for the kids.
Visitors are able to enter the Sled Dog Park and get up close & personal with the dogs and Mushers.
