Uncover the magical stories behind the food we eat every day

Dinner Detectives by screenwriter and director Yves Stening and award-winning illustrator Nigel Buchanan is a brand new children's book series which celebrates vibrant food cultures from all around the world.

To celebrate the release of the first book 'A Fearsome Beast and a Dumpling Feast', a special book launch event is being held at Bourke Street Public School (Surry Hills) on Sunday 30th April, at 11am.

All are welcome to come along to this FREE event. Come and meet Yves and Nigel, discover the very first Dinner Detectives adventure and enjoy a dumpling or two!

In A Fearsome Beast and a Dumpling Feast', Dinner Detectives Clementine and Aksel travel back in time to find out the legend of the dumpling and why it is consdiered a lucky food during Chinese New Year.

This beautifully illustrated book is filled with historical facts and complemented with an easy-to-follow recipe, so you can continue your culinary adventure at home.

Yves and Nigel hope that the Dinner Detectives book series will inspire children to become interested in preparing and enjoying food from desintations near and far!
