Picture this - you've just started seeing someone. They seem different, not like the other girlfriends/boyfriends you've had before. You want to make a good impression. Let's be honest, that last time when you took your date to the mall and bought a slurpee was not great.
Here's a sure fire hit, dinner and a movie. But not just any dinner, and certainly not just any movie either. Take your date on an evening they soon won't forget and will have them raving to all their friends about what a perfect date you are.
Book a table for the two of you at Caffe Moravia, 662 Bourke Road, Camberwell. Moravia specialises in Italian cuisine. You can order a delicious starter, like a herb bread (or if both you and your date agree garlic breath won't be a problem, try the garlic bread) a beautiful bottle of wine from the large selection available and a risotto or pasta for mains. All mains range in price from $15.50 to $19.90.
Soak up the atmosphere of Caffe Moravia and discuss the finer points of anything topical (if you dare on a first date) but don't loiter too long, you have a movie to catch. And not just any movie, you're seeing a foreign flick. Your date is bound to be impressed now. Excellent taste in food and wine, plus a lover of French cinema? You're a catch.
Just around the corner from Caffe Moravia is the Rivoli Cinemas, a beautiful art deco cinema with Gold Class and all the mod cons. Along with all the current blockbusters screening, the Rivoli also runs a number of French films on a regular basis. Rivoli is a Village Cinema so the standard movie fares apply. You can fork out a bit extra and go to Gold Class and experience the Gold Class lounge and the extra comfortable, recliner seats. The night is still young, so head to the roof top bar, enjoy another glass of wine and soak up the stunning views of the surrounds. All beverages are at standard bar prices.
And with that, they'll be putty in your hands. You'll be the envy of all their friends and you'll attract the ire of all other potential suitors. A sure fire way to impress and land that coveted second date. Or a perfectly romantic way to spend a Friday evening with that special someone.
