Dīner en Blanc is an annual event held all over the world since its conception 26 years ago in Paris as a 'friends and word of mouth only' event. Franēois Pasquier and a handful of friends started this 'pop-up' trend back in 1988. Sydney and Brisbane celebrated this global phenomenon this year (Sydney's first was in 2012 and Adelaide and Canberra have already tasted this event) and it's finally arriving in Melbourne on the 7th of March 2015. Many 'in the know' are getting excited in anticipation.

Participants lucky enough to get picked have to bring everything they need from furniture to food. You can be rest assured the 'secret' site will be in a beautiful part of the city and the seating layout will be specific. Be sure you want to go because once you're confirmed, your participation becomes mandatory, rain, hail or shine. White only is the colour of everything from clothing to table setting and you must be dressed elegantly. Being original is encouraged, but it must be stylish and tasteful so start planning ladies and gentlemen.
