If you're between 13 - 25 years old with an interest in digital art, the free youth art workshop on Sunday, 2 April from 9am to 12pm may be right down your alley. Register for the workshop to learn to draw with a graphics tablet and use Adobe Photoshop Elements with artist Sam Lee. This is one of many workshops forming part of Masterpieces 2K17 organised by the City of Mandurah. In the workshop, you will learn about basic Photoshop functions, appropriate file setup for art prints, shortcuts and basic tablet functions, sketching, line art, layers and colouring techniques.

Sam Lee is a Perth-based artist who works with both digital and traditional mediums. Sam is also known as 'KURA' or 'missmirelda'. Sam has participated in various local youth events and pop-culture conventions including Oz Comic-con, Supanova, RahCon, Wai-Con and more. Programs Sam uses include PaintTool SAI and Adobe Photoshop along with a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet for her digital works. Her artwork displays the use of strong dark lines, a feature which is also reflected in her more traditional artwork.

Bookings are essential and places are limited.
