Diesel aka Johnny Diesel aka Mark Lizotte is embarking on his 2025 Bootleg Melancholy tour this March. The album came out in 2023. And I spoke to him about his upcoming coming tour and album.

And like a lot of art in the last few years was influenced by being in the pandemic. But more so for Mark, he wanted to grab onto nostalgia and reminisce about the past, along with hopefulness for these times we are living in, with Diesel always injecting some blues sounds. His concerts will exude cool charm for sure.

The album was recorded solo by Mark adding later some great drumming by drummer Lee Maloney.

The concert goes to many places around Australia and will feature new songs from the album but most importantly will be featuring his known hits too. Mark has been in the business for nearly 40 years. And he has a lot of stories to tell.

As an added incentive though, as if you need one. When you buy a ticket you will go in the draw to win a signed Squire Sonic Stratocaster Electric Guitar which will be signed by Diesel himself.
