Let your wild ones be with the Wild ones
As an Aussie family who found themselves suddenly leaving the great outdoors of an Australian Summer to come and support family in the Netherlands at the end of European Winter, DierenPark Amersfoort was a true gem to find. Dierenpark Amersfoort
The Zoo opens up with a huge space to immediately encourage your little people to explore... and when they begin; oh what treasures they will find!
DierenPark Amersfoort is easy to navigate no matter what language you speak. There are signposts on almost every corner directing you to the next exhibit by number so you don't miss a thing, including a gorgeous lion family, the stunning Indian Rhino and wonderful Sloth walkthough enclosure.
This land of adventure also takes you back to prehistoric days with a Dinosaur walk and the opportunity to fly with Pterodactyls.
With so many places to enjoy a drink or bite to eat, children can also enjoy several playgrounds throughout the park, while parents relax.
Expedition River awaits for your adventure to the giraffes while flying overhead. In my opinion, it is a cross between a parachute apparatus with a flying fox. A flight in the Ooievaart costs € 1.00. The permitted height is a minimum of 95cm and the maximum weight is 140 kilos. There is also the option for little people to go with bigger people if they are too light to fly by themselves
DierenPark Amersfoort is certainly a full day of family fun and rain, hail or shine there is something to see and do for every age.
