Stepping off busy Beach Road and into Diamond MediSpa is like entering a tranquil haven. From the hustle and bustle of the Christies Beach shopping precinct to the serene reception area with soft lighting, peaceful music, flickering candles and fragrant aromas. Take a deep breath and revel in the sense of calm that lingers throughout the spa's treatment rooms which can cater for solo or couples treatments.
Diamond Medispa opened early 2012 to much fanfare from the local community. Primarily because it was the first business to open its doors in the new Beachpoint Apartments, but also because it has filled a gap within the market as there are a very few custom built spas in the area.
The spa uses the green cosmeceutical brand Medik8 along with local brands Philou and Vani-T. Offering facials, aromatherapy and hot stone massages, manicures, pedicures, waxing and tanning. Their specialised treatments include IPL, dermabrasion, permanent hair reduction, photorejuvenation and much more. This is not just for women either as men are made welcome with a customised treatment menu.
The staff are very friendly and seem knowledgeable in their craft. In fact recently, Diamond Medispa won an Australian Business Quality Gold Award for Excellence in Customer Service. An award the spa would not win is one for discretion as the walls between treatment rooms seem very thin and conversation from the next room and hallway noise can be overheard deterring somewhat from the soothing experience. Treatments, however, are designed to promote a deep sense of relaxation so with any luck you will be oblivious to this.
Visiting a spa may seem like an unaffordable indulgence to some but Diamond Mediaspa makes it very accessible with affordable pricing and generous monthly deals. Their website has more information, treatment and price lists.
So don't wait until you get given a gift voucher, treat yourself to some quality rejuvenation time and see how much better you feel for it. With heated treatment tables, a massage or facial is particularly inviting this winter.
We went here with a group. Friendly massage staff. Comfy large massage beds. Good products.
HOWEVER we found management to be inconsistent, rude and had poor communication skills. We had a group booking for 8. Each time the manager was communicated with us in the planning, he changed his story. His customer service was poor. Definitely would not recommend. Not a positive experience.
