The Diamond Dog Food and Bakery is a specialist doggy shop in Bay Street, Brighton that caters for all - and I do mean all - things doggie. This stand-apart boutique dog food shop actually bakes its entire dog food range on the premises, ensuring good nutrition and well-being for all of their patrons.
The food contains no added salts, sugars or preservatives. Carob, honey and molasses are used as sweeteners and the products are baked using wholemeal flour, rolled oats, nuts and grains. As an added bonus, Dr Diamond is available to explain the benefits of chai and shark cartilage among the many unusual and healthy extras that make up the nutritional range.
The food menu includes doggie birthday cakes, doughnuts, hot dogs and pupperoni pizzas (obviously a bit of a sense of humour prevails in this establishment). I note that there are also muffins in five flavours and that BBQ, chicken, bacon, cheese, liver and even peanut butter make up the standard choices of doggie biscuits, while Moroccan lamb and carob chips form the boutique range.
The Doggie Dinner menu reads like a 5 star experience at the London Ritz. All the dinners contain veggies for vitamins and minerals, pasta for carbs, and lean chicken and beef for proteins and fatty acids. The signature range includes such staples as chemical free chicken, spring lamb, angus beef and meatballs.
As well as covering most aspects of nutrition, Diamond Dog Food and Bakery offers worming and flea treatments, shampoo and grooming tools, toys (footballs, soccer balls, and tennis balls to name a few) as well as treats. Among the standard accessories such as bowls, collars, water-resistant beds and deodorizers are some less-usual items such as gift cards, doggie beach towels, floatation vests and birthday, adoption and welcome home celebration products. In fact, Diamond Dog Food and Bakery caters for Birthday parties at $15 a doggie and provides a personalized birthday cake as well as mud cakes, popcorn and candy.
Now with all this talk of fine food and playthings, don't think for a minute that doggie's social life has been neglected. Apart from joining the Diamond Dog Social Club to cater for companionship needs, there is a photo gallery encapsulating your best friend's finest features. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open in case your canine superstar features in a TV or press promotion.
So for all things unique in Doggie world, from breakfast to cup cakes and everything in between, visit the Diamond Dog Food and Bakery in Bay Street, Brighton. I'm sure you'll find just what you're looking for doggie's Christmas stocking.
