It's the time of year that gardens look stark and all the leaves have fallen from deciduous trees and bulbs are yet to bloom. Whilst there may not be a lot of inspiration to go into the garden over winter, it is the best time of year to buy and plant whilst the ground is easy to dig and plants can get some roots down before a long hot summer.
So where to go for your new plants? After all if you are planting a large area you're going to want the best quality plants at the cheapest price right?
Diaco's motto is "Great service, quality products at the lowest prices" and has 3 nursery's conveniently located at 360 Wooralla Rd Mornington, 190 Old Dandenong Rd Heatherton and their Lynbrook store at 320 Hallam Rd Hampton Park.
Diaco's nurseries are amongst the biggest and stock a great range of plants and garden materials. The plants are divided into sections and they stock just about everything including, ground covers, shrubs, hedges, trees, roses, palm trees, fruit trees, deciduous trees, seedlings, indoor plants, Australian natives, cactus, and quiet a few more that I have forgotten.
In the garden products there is sand, soil, rocks, pavers, pebbles, mulch, bricks, and anything else required for landscaping.
Diaco's have many staff and I am always offered assistance and advice within a few minutes of entering. Don't be worried if you have no idea which plants go well together or what conditions the plants require, the staff here are very informative and happy to help you choose the right plants. If you need more help, take in some photos of the area you want to plant and the lovely people at Diaco's will guide you in the right direction.
