PC fans rejoice - the long awaited release of Diablo 3 has been confirmed for the 15th of May. It really has been a long time coming for Blizzard's wildly popular hack and slash series - around 12 years in fact. This means that Diablo fans can finally get off their knees in prayer and attend an awesome midnight launch of the game at their local EB Games. If you were sensible enough to pre-order the game (don't worry, there's still time!), you can head down to your favourite EB Games where your impatient brethren can count down until the clock strikes midnight.

Evil is coming...

If you've never been to a midnight launch before, it's a fun way to get excited about a game and get your hands on it as early as possible. There's music, free pizza and drinks, and cool mini-games to play with prizes up for grabs. Staff and customers are also encouraged to dress up as their favourite characters (it helps if that character matches the game that's being released, otherwise you'll just get weird looks). Most people will arrive an hour or two before midnight, and once the time comes, staff can start handing out copies to the ravenous fans.

Halo fans enjoying a midnight launch

Of course, check your local store to find out if they are participating in a midnight launch, or take the risk of standing outside a locked door dressed as a voodoo shaman. Remember, evil returns on the 15th of May, 2012.
