Diabetes - Where is the Cure? Diabetes Research WA
World Diabetes Day is on in November and WA's key diabetes experts will gather to consider why a cure for the condition remains undiscovered.
Western Australia's peak diabetes research funding group will be hosting this free public seminar to celebrate
World Diabetes Day, along with Nedlands-based
WA Centre for Diabetes Research Director Professor
Grant Morahan, a City Beach resident, and
Dr Joey Kaye, Director of Diabetes Services at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, forming part of an expert panel.
Diabetes Research WA
(DRWA) was first established back in 1976 and are a research team that are very passionate about their work and ongoing research into finding the answer why a cure isn't found and where is it hiding. They truly believe there is a solution out there and recognise the urgency of their work to try and understand the significant and growing impact diabetes is having on individuals, families and the broader community
The topic for this event focuses on
'Where is the cure for diabetes hiding and why haven't we found it?' On this evening, the charity will also be announcing the recipients of its 2018 diabetes research grants.
Come along to this event and not only give your support but also learn more about research they are doing on Diabetes. The event is on
Monday 13 November from
6pm and is being held at
City Farm in East Perth.
